Version-B: 5(5-6-7) Hanks Berroco Vintage (100 grs), #5105 Oats
Straight knitting needles, size 7 if using Weekend, size 8 if using Vintage OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

Gauges
18 sts = 4”; 24 rows = 4” in St st using Love It on size 8 needles
18 sts = 4”; 24 rows = 4” in St st using Pure Merino on size 9 needles

Note: Both st and row gauge are extremely important to assure that your garment will have the correct measurements.
Note 1
Both back and front are worked in 2 sections. Left front is same as right back. Armhole shaping of right front is same as left back, but front shaping is different to allow for shaping front neck.
Note 2
Unless otherwise specified, work decs at beg of RS rows as k2, SSK. Work decs at end of RS rows as k2 tog, k2. Work all incs as M1k.
Left Back
With straight needles, cast on 45(50-54-58) sts. Work in St st. Inc 1 st 2 sts in from beg of RS rows every 6th row 9(4-6-6) times, then every 8th row 9(13-12-12) times. AT THE SAME TIME, when piece measures 13” from beg, end on WS and mark beg of last row worked for beg of armhole. Continuing to work incs at beg of RS rows, dec 1 st at end of RS rows for armhole every RS row 8(11-13-17) times, then every other RS row 8(7-7-5) times. When all incs and decs have been completed, work even if necessary on remaining 47(49-52-54) sts until armhole measures 8(8½-9-9)”, end on RS.
Shape Shoulder: Bind off 6(7-8-9) sts at armhole edge once, then 5(6-8-9) sts once for shoulder, end on WS. Bind off remaining 36 sts for back neck.
Right Back
With straight needles, cast on 43(47-52-56) sts. Work in St st. Dec 1 st 2 sts in from end of RS rows every 6th row 11(10-9-9) times, then every 8th row 5(6-7-7) times. AT THE SAME TIME, when piece measures 9½” from beg, end on WS and mark end of last row worked for beg of armhole. Continuing to work decs at end of RS rows, dec 1 st at beg of RS rows for armhole every RS row 8(11-13-17) times, then every other RS row 8(7-7-5) times. When all decs have been completed, work even on remaining 11(13-16-18) sts until armhole measures 8(8½-9-9)”, end on WS.
Shape Shoulder: Bind off 6(7-8-9) sts at armhole edge once, then 5(6-8-9) sts once.
Left Front
Work same as right back.
Right Front
With straight needles, cast on 45(49-54-58) sts. Work in St st. Inc 1 st 2 sts in from beg of RS rows every 4th row 3(1-6-6) times, then every 6th row 15(17-12-12) times. AT THE SAME TIME, when piece measures 13” from beg, end on WS and mark beg of last row worked for beg of armhole. Continuing to work incs at beg of RS rows, dec 1 st 2 sts in from end of RS rows for armhole every RS row 8(11-13-17) times, then every other RS row 8(7-7-5) times. When all incs at beg of RS rows have been completed, work even at that edge if necessary while continuing to work armhole decs until armhole measures 4½(5-5½-5½)”, then end on WS.
Shape Neck: Continuing to work armhole decs at end of RS rows, bind off 3 sts at beg of every RS row 12 times, slipping the first st of every group of bound-off sts to minimize jagged edge. When all armhole decs have been completed, continuing to bind off at neck edge, work until armhole measures 8(8½-9-9)”, then end on RS.
Shape Shoulder: Bind off 6(7-8-9) sts at armhole edge once, then 5(6-8-9) sts once.
Sleeves
With straight needles, cast on 45 sts. Work in St st. Inc 1 st 2 sts in from each side every 3¼(2½-1¾-1½)” 5(7-9-11) times – 55(59-63-67) sts. Work even until sleeve measures 18” from beg, end on WS. Mark beg and end of last row for beg of cap.
Shape Cap: Double Dec Row (RS): K2, sl 1, k2 tog, psso, k to last 5 sts, k3 tog, k2 – 51(55-59-63) sts. Rep this dec every RS row 2(3-3-5) times more, then dec 1 st each side every RS row 21(21-23-21) times, end on WS. Fasten off last st.
Finishing
Sew back sections tog on RS making welted seams. Repeat with front sections. Sew sleeves to armholes on RS matching markers and making welted seams. Sew side and sleeve seams in usual manner
