Back

With crochet hook, using A, ch 85(95-105-117-127-137).

Row 1:  Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each sc across – 84(94-104-116-126-136) sc’s.  Turn.

Rows 2 and 3:  Ch 1, sc in each sc across. Fasten off A and join B. Turn.

Row 4:  Ch 3 (counts as 1 hdc and ch 1), * skip 1 sc, hdc in next sc, ch 1, rep from * across, end skip 1 sc, hdc in last sc.  Change to C.  Turn.

Row 5:  With C, ch 2 (counts as 1 hdc), * hdc in next ch-1 space, ch 1, rep from * across, end hdc in next ch-1 space, hdc in top of turning ch.  Change to D.  Turn.

Row 6:  Ch 3 (counts as 1 hdc and ch 1), * skip 1 hdc, hdc in next ch-1 space, ch 1, rep from * across, end skip 1 hdc, hdc in top of turning ch.  Change to B.  Turn.  Rep Rows 5 and 6 continuing to alternate colors B, C and D until piece measures approximately 6½” from beg, end with D.  Change to B.

* Next Row:  With B, ch 2, work 1 hdc in each hdc and ch-1 space across.  Turn.

Following Row:  Ch 2, work 1 hdc in each hdc across.  Turn.  Rep Following Row with B once more, then change to C and rep Following Row twice more. *  Change to B.

** Next Row:  With B, ch 3 (counts as 1 hdc and ch 1), * skip 1 hdc, hdc in next hdc, ch 1, rep from * across, skip 1 hdc, hdc in last hdc.  Change to C.  Turn. **  Rep Rows 5 and 6 four times (8 rows total) alternating C and D, end with D.  Rep between *’s once more.  Mark beg and end of last row for beg of armholes.  Rep between **’s once more.  Rep Rows 5 and 6 alternating C and D until armholes measure 2½(2½-3-3½-4-4½)”, end with D.  Rep between *’s once more – 84(94-104-116-126-136) hdc’s.  Change to B.

Divide for Neck:  Next Row (RS):  With B, ch 3 (counts as 1 hdc and ch 1), * skip 1 hdc, hdc in next hdc, ch 1, rep from * 6(9-11-14-16-19) times more, end skip 1 hdc, hdc in next hdc.  Change to C.  Turn, leaving remaining sts unworked for neck and right side.

Left Side:  Rep Rows 5 and 6, alternating C and D until armhole measures 7(7-7½-8-8½-9)”, end with D.  Fasten off.

Right Side:  With RS facing, skip center 52(50-52-52-54-52) sts for neck.  Join B in next hdc and complete to correspond to left side.
 

Front

Work same as back.  Sew shoulder seams.
 

Sleeves

With RS facing, using crochet hook, join B at marker. 

Row 1:  Working along armhole edge between markers, ch 3 (counts as 1 hdc and ch 1), * skip 1 st, hdc in next st, ch 1, rep from * 36(36-38-41-44-46) times, end skip 1 st, hdc in next st.  Change to C.  Turn.  Rep Rows 5 and 6 from back alternating C and D until sleeve measures 10”, end with D.  Fasten off.
 

Finishing

Sew side and sleeve seams.
