3 Hanks Berroco Boboli (100 grs), #5333 Stroll
Straight knitting needles, sizes 5 (3.50 mm) and 7 (4.50 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
Crochet hook, size 4.50 mm (G)
Gauge
30 sts = 4”; 30 rows = 4” in Rib Pat on smaller needles (unstretched)

Rib Pattern
Row 1 (RS): P2, * k2, p3, rep from * to last 4 sts, end k2, p2.
Row 2: K the k sts and p the p sts as they face you.
Rep these 2 rows for Rib Pat.
Cowl
With larger needles, cast on 161 sts. Change to smaller needles and work even in Rib Pat for 9”, end on WS. Mark beg and end of last row for beg of side opening. Work even until piece measures 13” from beg, end on WS. Bind off with larger needle.
Finishing
Sew side seam from cast-on edge to markers, leaving 4” open at top. Make a 2½" pompon. With RS facing, using crochet hook, join yarn with a sl st to top of side seam. Ch for 1”, fasten off leaving an 8” long end. Thread end through pompon and tie securely.
