Materials
Berroco Suede (50 grs), 1 ball each #3753 Belle Star (A) and #3715 Tonto (B).
Crochet hook, size 3.50 mm (E) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Gauge
5 sc’s = 1”; 5 rows = 1” in Sc.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
Thong
With crochet hook, using A, ch 2, then sc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1, turn.
Row 1 (RS): Work 3 sc’s in first sc – 3 sc’s. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Sc in first sc, 2 sc’s in center sc, sc in last sc – 4 sc’s. Ch 1, turn.
Row 4: Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Row 5: Sc in first 2 sc’s, 2 sc’s in next sc, sc in last sc – 5 sc’s. Ch 1, turn.
Row 6: Sc in each sc across. Ch 1, turn. Continue to inc 1 st in approximately the center of every other row twice more, end on WS – 7 sc’s. Join B and, continuing to inc as before, work 2 rows B, 2 rows A, 2 rows B, 2 rows A, then 4 rows B – 13 sc’s. With B, make a chain to desired length. Fasten off. Note: This can be any length desired from one wrap around ankle plus tie to long enough to wrap around the entire length of your leg. Join A to the opposite end of the last row of sc worked and make a chain the same length as the B chain. Join B to first sc at lower point of triangle and make a chain long enough to slip over your second toe with a little extra for comfort. Join with a sl st in first sc. Fasten off. To wear, just slip the loop over your second toe, let the triangle lay across the top of your foot. Wrap the chains around ankle desired number of times, then tie.
