Straight needles, size 13 (9.00 mm) or size to obtain gauge

Crochet hook, size 5.50 mm (I)

GAUGE

14 sts and 8 rows = 4" in Pattern Stitch

Cidade, p. 12 in booklet

Row 2: after lifting the first 2 sts over the second 2 sts and back onto LH needle, slip the other 2 sts back to the LH needle.
