36" Length circular knitting needle, size 15 (10.00 mm)

Gauge
10 sts = 4"; 14 rows = 4" in St st with A and B worked tog

Note
A and B are worked together throughout.
Throw
With 1 strand each of A and B held tog, cast on 106 sts. Knit 4 rows. Mark beg and end of last row.
Establish Pat: Row 1 (RS): K3, place marker, * k20, place marker, p20, place marker, rep from * once more, k20, place marker, k3.
Row 2: K3, * p20, k20, rep from * once more, p20, k3. Work even in pat as established until piece measures 8" above markers on sides, end on WS.
Next Row (RS): K3, * p20, k20, rep from * once more, p20, k3.
Following Row: K3, * k20, p20, rep from * once more, k20, k3. Rep the last 2 rows until piece measures 16" above markers on sides, end on WS. Continue in this manner, alternating blocks of St st and Reverse St st as on diagram until a total of 6 rows of 5 blocks have been completed and piece measures 48" above markers on sides, end on WS. Knit 4 rows, dropping markers. Bind off.
