Note

Left front and half of sleeve and right front and half of sleeve are worked separately, then joined.  Remaining halves of sleeves and back are then worked in one piece.

Left Front

With circular needle, cast on 28(33-38-43-48-53) sts.  DO NOT join.  Work even in St st for 8(8-8 1/2-8 1/2-9-9)”, end on WS.  Mark end of last row for beg of sleeve.

Shape Sleeve:  Cast on 11(11-9-8-7-6) sts at beg of the next 5(5-3-5-3-5) RS rows, then 10(10-8-7-6-5) sts at beg of the next 2(2-6-5-9-9) RS rows, end on WS – 103(108-113-118-123-128) sts.  Work even until piece measures 6(6-6 1/2-7-7 1/2-8)” above marker, end on WS.  Sl sts onto holder or a spare needle.

Right Front

Work same as left front until piece measures 8(8-8 1/2-8 1/2-9-9)” from beg, end on RS – 28(33-38-43-48-53) sts.  Mark end of last row for beg of armhole.  Complete to correspond to left front, casting on sts at beg of WS rows.

Back

Joining Row:  K103(108-113-118-123-128) sts from left front holder, cast on 30 sts for back neck, k103(108-113-118-123-128) sts from right front holder – 236(246-256-266-276-286) sts.  Beg with a p row, work even in St st until piece measures 4” above sts cast on for back neck, end on WS.

Shape Sleeves:  Bind off 10(10-8-7-6-5) sts at beg of the next 4(4-12-10-18-18) rows, then 11(11-9-8-7-6) sts at beg of the next 10(10-6-10-6-10) rows, end on WS – 86(96-106-116-126-136) sts.  Mark beg and end of last row for end of sleeves.  Work even until piece measures 8(8-8 ½-8 ½-9-9)” above marker, end on WS.  Bind off.

Finishing

Cuffs:  With WS facing, pick up and k40 sts across end of sleeve.  (This will form a ridge on the RS).  Beg with a p row, work even in St st for 3 1/2”, end on WS.  Bind off.  Sew side, sleeve and cuff seams.

Collar:  With WS facing, beg at lower left front, pick up and k170(170-185-195-210-220) sts around entire front and neck edge to lower edge of right front.  Beg with a p row, work even in St st for 2 1/2”, end on WS.  Bind off.
