One Size Fits Most.

MATERIALS
BERROCO PLUSH (50 grs), 8 balls #1916 Java Purple. (COLOR HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED)
36” length circular knitting needle, size 10 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
24” length circular knitting needle, size 10.
16” length circular knitting needles, sizes 8 and 10.
4 St Markers.

 

GAUGE
3 sts = 1”; 5 rows = 1” in Garter St on size 10 needles.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

 

NOTE 1
Use different colored markers to make it easy to tell back and front incs.

 

NOTE 2
This garment is worked in 1 piece from the neck down.

 

NOTE 3
After neck ribbing, the body of this garment is worked in Garter St ( k 1 round, p 1 round when worked on circular needles). You should change to longer circular needles as it becomes necessary.

 

PONCHO
With 16” size 8 circular needle, cast on 68 sts. Join, being careful not to twist sts. Mark for beg of round (center back) and carry marker up. Work in k1, p1 ribbing for 8”, change to 16” size 10 needle and dec 12 sts evenly spaced on last round – 56 sts.
Round 1: * K1, place marker, M1k, k27, M1k, place marker, rep from * once more - 60 sts. You should have 4 markers on needle, marking center sts at front, and back.
Round 2: Purl.
Round 3: * K1, sl marker, M1k, k to next marker, M1k, sl marker, rep from * once more - 64 sts.
Round 4: Purl. Continue to work in this manner, increasing 1 st each side of marked sts every other round until piece measures 26” from beg of ribbing to center point at front and back, end on a p round. Bind off all sts knitwise.
