A simple colorwork chart creates the allover pattern for this hat and mittens set. Choose different colors of Berroco Skye for a mix-and-match effect, or knit the set with the same colors for a classic look. If you are using the same colors, one ball each of your two colors will make the set if you reverse the colors between the hat and the mittens.

Hat:  Approximately 21" around x 9½" high
Mittens:  Approximately 8" around.  Length is adjustable.
For Hat:  BERROCO SKYE (50 grs): 1 ball each #7603 Cygnus (MC) and #7660 Pegasus (CC)
For Mittens:  BERROCO SKYE (50 grs):  1 ball each #7670 Pavo (MC) and #7643 Aquila (CC)
needles and notions
For Hat:  16" circular needle, size 5 (3.75 mm) or size to obtain gauge
1 set (4) double-pointed needles, size 5 (3.75 mm)
1 stitch marker
Tapestry needle
For Mittens:  1 set (4) each double-pointed needles, sizes 3 (3.25 mm) and 5 (3.75 mm) or size to obtain gauge
3 stitch markers (1 a different color for beg-of-round)
1 piece of waste yarn to hold thumb stitches
