Note
Back and sleeves are made in one piece from the neck down to underarm, then divided and worked separately. Fronts are worked separately from the front edge diagonally up.
Back/Sleeves
With circular needle, cast on 30(32-34-36-38-40) sts.
Row 1 (WS): (P2, place marker) 3 times, p18(20-22-24-26-28), (place marker, p2) 3 times.
Inc Row (RS): K2, sl marker, yo, k to next marker, yo, sl marker, k2, sl marker, yo, k to next marker, yo, sl marker, k2, sl marker, yo, k to last marker, yo, sl marker, k2 – 36(38-40-42-44-46) sts. Rep this inc every RS row 16(18-20-23-25-27) times more, end on WS – 132(146-160-180-194-208) sts.
Divide for Back and Sleeves: Next Row (RS): With straight needles, k40(44-48-54-58-62) sts, leaving remaining sts on circular needle for back and left sleeve.
Right Sleeve: Beg with a p row, work even in St st until piece measures 10”, end on WS. Bind off.
Back: With RS facing, join yarn in first st on circular needle. Using straight needle, k52(58-64-72-78-84) sts, leaving remaining 40(44-48-54-58-62) sts on circular needle for left sleeve. Beg with a p row, work even in St st until piece measures 6(6-6½-6½-7-7)”, end on WS.
Next Row (RS): K25(28-31-35-38-41), yo, place marker, k1, place marker, yo, k to end – 54(60-66-74-80-86) sts. Continue to work yo before first marker and after second marker in this manner every RS row 9 times more, end on WS. Bind off, dropping markers.
Left Sleeve: With RS facing, join yarn in first st on circular needle. With straight needle, k these sts, then complete same as right sleeve.
Left Front
With straight needles, cast on2 sts. Knit 2 rows.
Row 3 (WS): K1, yo, k1 – 3 sts.
Row 4 (RS): K1, k in back, then front of next st, k1 – 4 sts.
Row 5: K2, yo, k2 – 5 sts.
Row 6: K2, k in back, then front of next st, k2 – 6 sts.
Row 7: K2, place marker, p2, place marker, k2.
Row 8: K to marker, yo, sl marker, k2, sl marker, yo, k to end – 8 sts.
Row 9: K2, p to last 2 sts, k2. Rep the last 2 rows 27(27-29-29-31-31) times more, end on WS – 62(62-66-66-70-70) sts.
Shape Raglan Armhole: Next Row (RS): Bind off 30(30-32-32-34-34) sts, k to end – 32(32-34-34-36-36) sts.
Following Row: K2, p to end. Keeping 2 sts at front edge in Garter St as before, bind off 4(3-3-2-2-2) sts at beg of the next 8(6-4-17-13-11) RS rows, then 0(2-2-0-1-1) st at beg of the next 0(7-11-0-10-14) RS rows, slipping first st of each bound-off group to minimize jagged edge.
Right Front
Work same as left front to raglan armhole shaping. To shape armhole, bind off at beg of WS rows instead of RS rows.
Finishing
Sew raglan armholes of fronts to sleeve caps. With RS facing, using crochet hook, work in sc across back neck edge, gathering slightly if narrower back neck is desired. Sew side and sleeve seams.
