NOTE
This open-front cardigan is knit in pieces from the bottom up, then seamed. Each front starts out twice as wide as it will end up; the bottom portion is folded over to form pockets. I-cord edging finishes the pocket, front, and back neck edges. After seaming, stitches are picked up all across the bottom, closing the pockets. A purl ridge visually separates the bottom ribbing from the body.
It can be confusing determining the right side and the wrong side while knitting the fronts.
