Row 2 (RS):  M1k, k3, k2 tog, k1, SSK, k3, M1k.

Body

With circular needle, cast on 150(166-186-202-222-238) sts.

Ribbing:  Row 1 (RS):  K6, place marker, p2, * k2, p2, rep from * to last 6 sts, place marker, k to end.

Row 2:  P to first marker, sl marker, k2, * p2, k2, rep from * to last marker, sl marker p to end.  Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 5” from beg, end on RS.

Dec Row (WS):  P to first marker, sl marker, p5, bind off 4 sts, p5, place marker, p to 14 sts before last marker, decreasing 26(28-34-36-42-44) sts across, place marker, p5, bind off 4 sts, p to last marker, sl marker, p to end – 116(130-144-158-172-186) sts.

Set-Up Row (RS):  K to first marker, sl marker, M1k, k3, k2 tog, yo, SSK, k3, M1k, sl marker, k to next marker, sl marker, M1k, k3, k2 tog, yo, SSK, k3, M1k, sl marker, k to end – 118(132-146-160-174-188) sts.

Establish Pat St:  Row 1 (WS):  P to first marker, work Row 1 of Pat St to next marker, p to next marker, work Row 1 of Pat St to last marker, p to end.

Row 2:  K to first marker, work Row 2 of Pat St to next marker, p to next marker, work Row 2 of Pat St to last marker, p to end.  Work even in pat as established until piece measures 13½(13½-14-14-14½-14½)” from beg, end on WS.

Divide for Back and Fronts:  Next Row (RS):  With larger straight needle, work 27(29-33-35-39-41) sts, leaving remaining sts on circular needle for back and left front.  Turn.

Right Front:  Shape Armhole:  Next Row (WS): Bind off 2 sts, work to end – 25(27-31-33-37-39) sts.

Dec Row (RS):  K1, k2 tog, work to end – 24(26-30-32-36-38) sts.  Rep this dec every RS row 1(2-4-4-6-7) times more – 23(24-26-28-30-31) sts.  Work even until armhole measures 6(6-6½-7-7½-8)”, end on WS.

Shape Neck:  Bind off 6 sts, drop marker, work to end.  Work 1 row even.

Next Row (RS):  Bind off 4 sts, drop next st, allowing st to run all the way down work to lower ribbing, bind off 1 more st, then work to end.  Dec 1 st at neck edge EVERY row 5 times.  When armhole measures 7½(7½-8-8½-9-9½)”, end on WS.

Shape Shoulder:  Bind off 3(4-5-6-7-7) sts at armhole edge once, then 3(3-4-5-6-7) sts once.


Back

With RS facing, join yarn in first st on circular needle.  Using larger straight needle, bind off 8(10-10-12-12-14) sts, k until there are 48(54-60-66-72-78) sts on LH needle, leaving remaining sts on circular needle for left front.  Turn.  Bind off 2 sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then work 1 row even – 44(50-56-62-68-74) sts.

Dec Row (RS):  K2, k2 tog, k to last 4 sts, SSK, k2 – 42(48-54-60-66-72) sts.  Rep this dec every RS row 1(2-4-4-6-7) times more – 40(44-46-52-54-58) sts.  Work even until armholes measure 7½(7½-8-8½-9-9½)”, end on WS. Bind off 3(4-5-6-7-7) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then 3(3-4-5-6-7) sts at beg of the following 2 rows for shoulders.  Bind off remaining 28(30-28-30-28-30) sts for back neck.


Left Front

With RS facing, join yarn in first st on circular needle.  Using larger straight needle, bind off 8(10-10-12-12-14) sts, then work to end – 27(29-33-35-39-41) sts.  Complete to correspond to right front, reversing all shaping.  Work armhole decs as k2, k2 tog.  Bind off for neck on WS rows.  Bind off for shoulder on RS rows.


Finishing

Sew shoulder seams.

Collar:  With RS facing, using smaller larger straight needles, beg at right front neck edge, pick up and k90 sts around entire neck edge.

Row 1 (WS of work, RS of collar as it folds back):  K2, * p2, k2, rep from * across.

Row 2:  P2, * k2, p2, rep from * across.  Rep these 2 rows until collar measures 5”, end on WS.  Bind off loosely in ribbing.

Left Frontband:  With RS facing, using smaller straight needles, beg at beg of neck shaping (bottom of collar), pick up and k90(90-94-94-98-98) sts along left front edge.  Beg with Row 2, work in ribbing same as collar for ¾", end on WS.  Bind off in ribbing.

Right Frontband:  Beg at lower right front edge, work to correspond to left frontband until 1 row has been completed, end on WS – 90(90-94-94-98-98) sts.

Buttonhole Row (RS):  Work 2(2-4-4-3-3) sts, yo, work 2 tog, * work 12(12-12-12-13-13) sts, yo work 2 tog, rep from * 5 times more, work to end.  Complete same as left frontband.  Sew on buttons.
