Materials
7 Hanks Berroco Lumina (25 grs), #1653 Infinity & Beyond
Straight knitting needles, size 15 (10.00 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE
Crochet hook, size 5.50 mm (H)
Gauge
5 sts = 2”; 5 rows = 2” in Pat St

Note
2 strands of yarn are worked tog throughout.
Pattern Stitch
Rows 1 and 2: Knit.
Row 3 (RS): K1, * (yo) twice, k1, rep from * across.
Row 4: Knit, dropping all yo’s.
Rep these 4 rows for Pat St.
Shawl
With straight needles, using 2 strands of yarn held tog, cast on 41 sts. Knit 2 rows. Work even in Pat St until piece measures approximately 50” from beg, end on Row 2. Bind off all sts.
Finishing
Knotted Fringe: Cut twelve 31” long strands of yarn. Put strands tog and fold in half. With RS facing, using crochet hook, draw center of strands through first st of first knit row, forming a loop. Pull ends of fringe through this loop and pull to tighten. Knot fringe twice more with knots 2” apart. Trim ends if necessary. In this manner, make a total of 11 knotted fringes evenly spaced along each end of shawl.
