A darling beret and cowl set in a simple chevron stitch.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Beret: 16" / 41 cm band circumference

Cowl: Approximately 29" / 73.5 cm around x 11½" / 29 cm high

YARN

BERROCO SESAME (100 grs): 1 ball #7454 Hibiscus for hat and 2 balls for cowl

Note: 2 balls total will make the set.

NEEDLES and NOTIONS

For Beret: 16" / 40 cm circular needle, size 8 / 5 mm or size to obtain gauge

1 set double-pointed needles, size 7 / 4.5 mm

1 stitch marker

Tapestry needle

For Cowl: 24" / 60 cm circular

needle, size 9 / 5.5 mm or size to

obtain gauge

1 stitch marker

GAUGE

21 sts and 26 rounds = 4" / 10 cm in pattern on larger circular needle

(1 pattern repeat = 2½" / 6.5 cm)

25 sts and 30 rounds = 4" / 10 cm in pattern on smaller circular needle

(1 pattern repeat = 2¼" / 6 cm)
