Row 2:  P1, * k1, p1, rep from * across.  Rep these 2 rows until piece measures  4½" from beg, end on WS.  Change to smaller needles and MC.  Work even in St st until piece measures 11(11-11½-11½-12-12)" from beg, end on WS, dec 1(inc 1 - dec 1 - inc 1 - dec 1 - inc 1) in center of last row - 80(92-100-112-120-132) sts.  Work even in Pat St until piece measures 12(12-12½-12½-13-13)" from beg, end on WS.  Continuing to work in Pat St, shape armholes as follows:

Shape Armholes:  Bind off 5(5-6-7-8-9) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then 2 sts at beg of the following 2 rows - 66(78-84-94-100-110) sts.  Dec 1 st each side every RS row 3(6-7-9-10-12) times - 60(66-70-76-80-86) sts.  When Pat St has been completed, continue to work even in St st until armholes measure 7½(8-8½-8½-9-9½)", end on WS.

Shape Shoulders:  Bind off 4(5-5-6-6-7) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then 3(4-5-6-7-8) sts at beg of the next 4 rows.  Bind off remaining 40 sts for back neck.
 

Left Front

With larger needles, using CC, cast on 39(43-49-53-59-63) sts.  Work even in ribbing same as back for 4½", end on WS.  Change to smaller needles and MC.  Work even in St st until piece measures 11(11-11½-11½-12-12)" from beg, end on WS, inc 1(inc 1- dec 1 - dec 1 - inc 1 - inc 1) st in center of last row - 40(44-48-52-60-64) sts.  Work even in Pat St until piece measures 12(12-12½-12½-13-13)" from beg, end on WS.  Continuing to work in Pat St, shape armhole as follows:

Shape Armhole:  Bind off 5(5-6-7-8-9) sts at beg of the next RS row, then 2 sts at beg of the following RS row - 33(37-40-43-50-53) sts.  Dec 1 st at armhole edge every RS row 4(6-8-9-11-12) times - 29(31-32-34-39-41) sts.  Work even until Pat St has been completed, then work in St st until armhole measures 6½(7-7½-7½-8-8½)", end on RS.

Shape Neck:   Bind off 11(10-9-8-11-10) sts at beg of the next WS row, then 4 sts at beg of the following WS row - 14(17-19-22-24-27) sts.  Dec 1 st at neck edge EVERY row 4 times.  When armhole measures 7½(8-8½-8½-9-9½)", end on WS.  Bind off 4(5-5-6-6-7) sts at armhole edge once, then 3(4-5-6-7-8) sts twice for shoulder.
 

Right Front

Work to correspond to left front, reversing all shaping.  Bind off for armhole on WS rows.  Work armhole decs at end of RS rows.  Bind off for neck on RS rows.  Bind off for shoulder on WS rows.
 

Sleeves

With larger needles, using CC, cast on 45 sts.  Work even in ribbing same as back for 4½", end on WS, inc 1 st in center of last row - 46 sts.  Change to smaller needles and MC.  Work even in St st until sleeve measures 5" from beg, end on WS.

Inc Row (RS):  K1, M1k, k to last st, M1k, k1 - 48 sts.  Rep this inc every 2(1¼-1-¾-¾-½)" 6(9-11-14-16-19) times more.  AT THE SAME TIME, when sleeve measures 14" from beg, change to Pat St.  When all incs have been completed, work even on 60(66-70-76-80-86) sts until sleeve measures 18" from beg, end on WS.

Shape Cap:  Bind off 5(5-6-7-8-9) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then 2 sts at beg of the following 2 rows - 46(52-54-58-60-64) sts.  Work 2(2-2-0-2-2) rows even, end on WS.  Dec 1 st each side of next row, every 4th row 2(1-1-0-1-1) times more, then every RS row 12(14-15-19-15-17) times, end on WS.  Bind off remaining 16(20-20-20-26-26) sts.
 

Finishing

Sew shoulder seams.

Collar:  With RS facing, using larger needles and CC, beg at right front edge, pick up and k23 along right front neck edge, 29 sts across back neck edge, then 23 sts along left front neck edge - 75 sts.  Work in ribbing same as back for 2½", end on WS.  Bind off in ribbing.

Left Frontband:  With RS facing, using smaller needles and MC, beg at top of collar, pick up and k103(105-109-109-113-115) sts along edge of collar and left front edge.  Knit 4 rows, end on RS.

Next Row (WS):  Knit, inc 6 sts as evenly spaced across as possible - 109(111-115-115-119-121) sts.  Work in ribbing same as back for 4 rows, end on WS.  Bind off in ribbing.

Right Frontband:   Beg at lower edge, work to correspond to left frontband until 5 rows have been completed, end on WS - 109(111-115-115-119-121) sts.

Buttonhole Row (RS):  Working in ribbing same as back, work 5(3-5-5-4-5), yo, k2 tog, * work until there are 14(15-15-15-16-16) sts on RH needle after last yo, yo, k2 tog, rep from * 5 times more, work to end.  Complete to correspond to left frontband.  Sew in sleeves.  Sew side and sleeve seams.  Sew on buttons.
