Stitch Glossary

Lp St (Loop Stitch)

Insert point of right-hand needle through stitch on left-hand needle as if to

knit. Working counterclockwise, wrap yarn 3 times around right-hand needle, then pull these 3 wraps through stitch. This will give you 3 sts instead of 1 st.  Notes:  Do not wrap yarn too tightly. Take care not to overlap the wraps and to make sure that wraps stay in the same order in which they were wrapped.

P next Lp St (Purl Next Loop Stitch)

Purl the loop stitch, dropping the extra wraps off the left-hand needle. This

will return you to 1 st instead of 3 sts.

P2 Lp Sts tog (Purl 2 Loop Stitches Together)

[Insert right-hand needle purlwise into next loop stitch.  Transfer loop

stitch to right-hand needle, dropping extra wraps off needle] twice. Transfer these 2 loop stitches back to left-hand needle, then purl the 2 stitches together.

tr2tog

[Yo twice.  Insert hook into next st and draw up a lp. Yo and draw through 2

lps on hook twice] twice, yo and draw through all 3 lps on hook.
