Next Row:  Sl st over 4 sts, work to last 4 sts, leave these 4 sts unworked and fasten off.


Finishing

Sew shoulder seams.  Sew in sleeves.  Sew side and sleeve seams.

Left Frontband:  With RS facing, using smaller hook, join yarn with a sl st at beg of neck shaping, work in sc along front edge to bottom, keeping sts even so band lies flat.

Row 1:  Ch 1, work 1 sc in each sc across.  Rep this row until band measures 1”.  Fasten off.  Mark placement of 3 buttons, the first at waistband, the last ½" below neck shaping and the other evenly spaced between.

Right Frontband:  Beg at lower edge, work same as left frontband until band measures ½", end with a WS row.

Buttonhole Row (RS):  Ch 1, work in sc to waistband, ch 3, skip 3 sc’s, complete in sc, making 2 more buttonholes opposite markers on left frontband.  Work even until band measures 1”, end with a WS row, turn.

Edging:  Working in sc, work along edge of right frontband, around neck edge, along edge of left frontband, then along entire lower edge to lower front edge of right frontband.  Join with a sl st.  Fasten off.  Work in sc around lower edges of sleeves.  Sew on buttons.
