Tornabouni is a knitted Suede necklace with leaf shapes stranded and arranged to create a chevron focal point, punctuated with beads that are knotted on the end of each leaf.

MATERIALS1 Ball BERROCO SUEDE (50 grs), #3717 Wild Bill Hickock 2 Double pointed knitting needles, size 6 Five 1/4” glass beads with large holes Tapestry needle NOTEThere are no gauge requirements for this necklace NECKLACEWith double pointed needles, cast on 2 sts and work I-Cord as follows: Row 1: * K2, do not turn work. Slide sts to beg of needle to work next row from RS. Rep from * for 18” or desired length. Fasten off. Center Leaf: Cast on 2 sts and work I-Cord for 9 rows. Inc Row (RS): K1, yo, k1 – 3 sts. Next Row: K1, (k1, yo, k1, yo, k1) all in yo, k1 – 7 sts. Knit 8 rows. Dec Row (RS): SSK, k to last 2 sts, k2 tog – 5 sts. Knit 1 row. Rep the last 2 rows once more – 3 sts. Next Row (RS): Sl 1, k2 tog, psso – 1 st. Break off yarn leaving a 6” long end. Thread end into tapestry needle, draw through bead and knot to hold on bead. Trim end. Sew cast-on end of I-Cord at beg of leaf to center of 18” I-Cord. Make 2 more leaves working I-Cord for 5 rows and sew to 18” I-Cord on each side of center leaf. Make 2 more leaves working I-Cord for 2 rows and sew to 18” I-Cord on each side of previous leaves.
