FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Bust – 32(34-36-38-40)”.
Length – 18 1/2(19-19 1/2-20-20 1/2)”.
Note: This garment is designed to fit very close to the body. Please take this into consideration when selecting your size.

MATERIALS
BERROCO DENIM SILK (50 grs), 6(7-7-8-8) hanks #1425 Amaranth.
Straight knitting needles, size 8 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
16” length circular knitting needle, size 7.
Cable needle (cn).
2 St holders.
1 St Marker.

GAUGE
19 sts = 4”; 26 rows = 4” in St st on size 8 needles.
6 sts = 1” in Cable Pat on size 8 needles.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

CABLE PATTERN (Worked over 6 sts)
Rows 1 and 3 (RS): Knit.
Rows 2 and 4: Purl.
Row 5: Sl 3 sts to cn and hold in FRONT, k3, then k3 from cn.
Row 6: Purl.
Rows 7 and 8: Rep Rows 1 and 2.
Rep these 8 rows for Cable Pat.

BACK
With straight needles, cast on 84(88(92-98-102) sts.
Row 1 (RS): K7(9-11-8-10), p6, * k10(10-10-13-13), p6, rep from * 3 times more, end k7(9-11-8-10).
Row 2: K the k sts and p the p sts as they face you. Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 11” from beg, end on WS.
Shape Armholes: Bind off 5(6-7-5-6) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then 5(6-7-6-7) sts at beg of the next 2 rows – 64(64-64-76-76) sts.
Establish Cable Pat: Row 1 (RS): K3, * p10(10-10-13-13), work Row 1 of Cable Pat over 6 sts, rep from * twice more, p10(10-10-13-13), k3.
Row 2: P3, * k10(10-10-13-13), work Row 2 of Cable Pat over 6 sts, rep from * twice more, k10(10-10-13-13), p3. Work even in pat as established until armholes measure 7(7 1/2-8-8 1/2-9)”, end on WS.
Shape Shoulders: Bind off 4(4-4-5-5) sts at beg of the next 6 rows, then 4(4-4-6-6) sts at beg of the next 2 rows. Sl remaining 32(32-32-34-34) sts onto holder for back neck.

FRONT
Work same as for back until armholes measure 5(5 1/2-6-6 1/2-7)”, end on WS – 64(64-64-76-76) sts.
Shape Neck: Next Row (RS): Work 27(27-27-32-32) sts, join another hank of yarn and bind off center 10(10-10-12-12) sts, work to end. Working both sides at once, bind off 3 sts at each neck edge once, then 2 sts 4 times. Work even on 16(16-16-21-21) sts each side until armholes measure 7(7 1/2-8-8 1/2-9)”, end on WS. Shape shoulders same as for back.

FINISHING
Steam pieces with a hot steam iron and pressing cloth. Sew shoulder seams.
Neckband: With RS facing, sl first 16(16-16-17-17) sts from back holder onto circular knitting needle without working them. Work the last 16(16-16-19-19) sts from holder, pick up and k15 sts along left front neck edge, 10(10-10-12-12) sts across front neck edge, 15 sts along right front neck edge, then k the unworked 16(16-16-17-17) sts on needle - 72(72-72-76-76) sts. Mark for beg of rnd and carry marker up. Work even in St st (k EVERY rnd) for 1 1/4”. Bind off all sts. Sew side seams.
