SHINE SCARF
With straight needles, using 1 strand each of A, B and C held tog, cast on 2 sts.
Row 1:
  K in front and back of 1st st, k1 – 3 sts.
Row 2:
K in front and back of 1st st, k to end – 4 sts.  Rep Row 2 until there are 54 sts on needle or until C is almost gone.  Bind off all sts.
Button Loop:
With crochet hook, join D in 1st st on bound-off edge of scarf.  Chain for 1 1/2”, skip 1” on bound-off edge of scarf then join with a sl st to edge of scarf.  Work back over chain in sc, then join with a sl st in first ch.  Fasten off.  Sew button to opposite end of bound-off edge of scarf.
Fringe:
Cut two 12” long strands of D.  Put strands tog and fold in half.  With crochet hook, draw center of strands through 1 st at point of scarf forming a lp.  Pull ends of fringe through this lp.  In this manner, make fringe in each Garter St ridge along both diagonal sides of scarf.  Trim fringe to even off if necessary.
Note:  For speedier cutting, wrap yarn multiple times around a piece of cardboard that is the desired finished length of the fringe.  Cut the lower edge to free wrapped strands.
