Approximately 3” across x 6 1/2” high

MATERIALS

1 Ball BERROCO SOX (100 grs), #1477 Kingston

Crochet hook, size 3.00 mm (D) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

1 Straight-sided glass or vase to fit

GAUGE

24 sc = 4”;  30 rnds = 4” in sc

GLASS COVER

Bottom:  With crochet hook, ch 3, join with a sl st to form a ring.

Rnd 1:  Ch 1, work 12 sc’s in ring, join with a sl st in beg ch-1 – 12 sc’s.

Rnd 2:  Ch 1, sc in each sc around, join with a sl st in beg ch-1.

Rnd 3:  Ch 1, * 2 sc’s in next sc, rep from * around, join with a sl st in beg ch-1 – 24 sc’s.

Rnd 4:  Rep Rnd 2.

Rnd 5:  Ch 1, * sc in each of the next 2 sc’s, 2 sc’s in next sc, rep from * around, join with a sl st in beg ch-1 – 32 sc’s.

Rnd 6:  Rep Rnd 2.

Rnd 7:  Ch 1, * 2 sc’s in next sc, sc in each of the next 2 sc’s, rep from * 9 times more, 2 sc’s in next sc, sc in last sc, join with a sl st in beg ch-1 – 43 sc’s.

Rnd 8:  Rep Rnd 2.

Rnd 9:  Ch 1, * 2 sc’s in next sc, sc in each of the next 3 sc’s, 2 sc’s in next sc, sc in each of the next 2 sc’s, rep from * 5 times more, sc in last sc, join with a sl st in beg ch-1 – 55 sc’s.

Rnd 10:  Rep Rnd 2.

Rnd 11:  Ch 1, working through back loop only, work in sc around, join with a sl st in beg ch-1.  Mark end of this rnd.

Top:  Rnd 12:  Ch 1, sc in each sc around, join with a sl st in beg ch-1.  Rep Rnd 12 until piece measures 6 1/2” or desired height above marker.

Edging:  Ch 1, working from left to right, work in Reverse sc around top edge, join with a sl st in beg ch-1.  Fasten off.
