FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Bust – 27(30-32-35-38)” Length – 18(18-18 1/2-18 1/2-19)” Note: There is quite a bit of stretch to this garment and it is designed to fit close to the body. Please take this into consideration when selecting your size. MATERIALS7(7-8-9-9) Balls BERROCO PURE MERINO (50 grs), #8573 Nettle Straight knitting needles, sizes 7 (4.50 mm), 8 (5.00 mm) and 9 (5.50 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE GAUGE18 sts = 4”; 24 rows = 4” in St st on largest needles TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE Note: Since the entire garment is worked in ribbing, to take the gauge when slightly stretched would be very difficult. If your gauge in St st is correct, your gauge over the ribbing should also be correct. BACKWith smallest needles, cast on 82(90-98-106-114) sts. K2, P2 Ribbing: Row 1 (RS): K2, * p2, k2, rep from * across. Row 2: P2, * k2, p2, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 9” from beg, end on WS. Change to medium sized needles and knit 1 row, end on RS. K4/P4 Ribbing: Row 1 (WS): K2, * p4, k4, rep from * across. Row 2: * P4, k4, rep from * to last 2 sts, end p2. Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 14 1/2(14 1/2-15-15-15 1/2)” from beg, end on WS. Change to largest needles and knit 1 row, end on RS. Continue to work in k4, p4 ribbing as before until piece measures 18(18-18 1/2-18 1/2-19)” from beg, end on WS. Bind off loosely in ribbing. FRONTWork same as back. STRAPS (Make 2) With smallest needles, cast on 4 sts. Row 1 (RS): Knit. Row 2: K1, p2, k1. Rep these 2 rows until strap measures 11” or desired length from beg, end on WS. Bind off.
FINISHING Sew side seams, reversing seams over top 3 1/2” for foldback. Fold this section down to outside. Try on garment and pin straps to back and front where desired. Sew in place.
