MATERIALS
2 Hanks BERROCO VOYAGE (50 grs), #4022 Bonfire (A)
2 Balls BERROCO NANUK (50 grs), #5430 Claus (B)
Straight knitting needles, size 10 (6.00 mm) OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE

GAUGE
28 sts = 4”; 26 rows = 4” in Rib Pat with A
14 sts = 4”; 22 rows = 4” in St st with B
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE

SCARF

With straight needles, using A, cast on 3 sts.

Row 1 (RS):  K1, M1k, k1, M1k, k1 – 5 sts.

Row 2:  Purl.

Row 3:  K2, M1p, k1, M1p, k2 – 7 sts.

Row 4:  P2, k1, p1, k1, p2.

Row 5:  K2, M1k, p1, k1, p1, M1k, k2 – 9 sts.

Row 6:  P2, k1, (p1, k1) twice, p2.

Row 7:  K2, M1p, k1, (p1, k1) twice, M1p, k2 – 11 sts.

Row 8:  P2, M1k, p1, (k1, p1) 3 times, M1k, p2 – 13 sts.  Keeping 2 sts at each edge in St st, continue to inc 1 st each side in this manner EVERY row 13 times more, working incs into ribbing – 41 sts.  Work even until piece measures 15” from beg, end on WS.  Change to B and work even in St st for 20”, end on RS. 
Change to A and p 1 row, end on WS.

Row 1 (RS):  K2, * p1, k1, rep from * to last 3 sts, end p1, k2.

Row 2:  P2, * k1, p1, rep from * to last 3 sts, end k1, p2.  Rep these 2 rows until piece measures 11¼” from beg, end on WS.

Dec Row 1 (RS):  K1, SSK, work to last 3 sts, k2 tog, k1 – 39 sts.

Dec Row 2:  P1, p2 tog, work to last 3 sts, p2 tog TBL, p1 – 37 sts.  Rep the last 2 rows 6 times more, then rep Dec Row 1 every RS row 5 times – 3 sts.  Bind off.
