BERROCO MOHAIR CLASSIC HEATHER (43 grs), 9(9-10-11-12) balls #A9541.
Straight knitting needles, sizes 9 and 10 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
29 length circular knitting needle, size 10.
Cable Needle (cn).
Crochet hook, size 4.50 mm (G).
7 1 buttons, #70694 from JHB.
14 St Markers.
GAUGE
7 sts = 2; 11 rows = 2 in Reverse St st on size 10 needles.
15 sts = 3; 11 rows = 2 in Cable Pats on size 10 needles.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
Note: Both St and Row gauge are extremely important to assure correct fit of your garment.

CB10
Sl 5 sts to cn and hold in BACK, k5, then k5 from cn.
CF10
Sl 5 sts to cn and hold in FRONT, k5, then k5 from cn.

Rows 1, 3, 7, 9, 11 and 15 (RS): K15.

Establish Pat St: Row 1 (RS): K2(1-0-0-0), [for sizes X-Small and Small ONLY place marker], p9(10-11-11-11), place marker, work Row 1 of Cable Pat A over 15 sts, place marker, p9(10-11-11-11), [for sizes X-Small and Small ONLY place marker], k2(1-0-0-0).
Row 2: P2(1-0-0-0), k to next marker, work Row 2 of Cable Pat A to next marker, k9(10-11-11-11), p2(1-0-0-0). Work in pat as established, inc 1 st each side every other row 0(4-8-14-20) times, every 4th row 19(20-18-14-10) times, then every 6th row 3(0-0-0-0) times, working incs into pat as sts become available. Row 2: Cast on 45 sts, then working across these sts, k14(13-12-11-10), place marker, p11, place marker, k9(10-11-12-13), place marker, p11, place marker, work in pat as established to end 171(175-179-183-187) sts.
Establish Pat St: Row 1 (RS): K4, p10(9-8-7-6), [(k2, M1k) 4 times, k3, p9(10-11-12-13)] twice, * work Row 7(15-15-13-9) of Cable Pat A to next marker, p9(10-11-12-13), rep from * twice more, [(k2, M1k) 4 times, k3, p9(10-11-12-13)] twice, p10(9-8-7-6), k4 187(191-195-199-203) sts.
Row 2: K14(13-12-11-10), * work Row 8(16-16-14-10) of Cable Pat A to next marker, k9(10-11-12-13), rep from * 5 times more, work Row 8(16-16-14-10) of Cable Pat A to last marker, k14(13-12-11-10). Work even in pat as established until body measures 5-1/2(6-1/2-7-1/2-8-1/2-10) from cast-on rows, end on Row 2(16-6-8-14) of Cable Pat A.
Shape Neck: Work 93(95-97-99-101) sts and sl these sts, along with markers, onto holder for back, bind off next 6 sts, work to end. Work 1 row even. Bind off 3 sts at beg of the next row, then dec 1 st at neck edge every RS row 5 times 80(82-84-86-88) sts. Work even until left front measures approximately 8-1/4(9-1/4-10-1/4-11-1/4-12-3/4) from cast-on rows, end on Row 1(15-5-7-13) of Cable Pat A. Change to smaller straight needles.
Inc Row (WS): K4(3-3-2-2), (M1, k3) twice, M1, k4(4-3-3-2), * k4, k2 tog, k3, k2 tog, k7(7-8-8-8), M1, k3(4-3-4-5), M1, k3(3-4-4-4), rep from * once more, k4, k2 tog, k3, k2 tog, k7(8-9-7-8), (M1, k3) 0(0-0-1-1) time 81(83-85-88-90) sts. Knit 8 rows, dropping all markers on first row. Bind off all sts.
RIGHT FRONT
With smaller straight needles, cast on 81(83-85-88-90) sts. Knit 4 rows.
Buttonholes (WS): K4(5-3-4-5), bind off 2 sts, * k until there are 10(10-11-11-11) sts on RH needle after bound-off sts, bind off 2 sts, rep from * 5 times more, k to end. K the next row, cast on 2 sts over each pair of sts bound off on previous row. Knit 2 rows, end on RS.
Dec Row (WS): K3(4-5-2-3), (k2 tog, k3) 0(0-0-1-1) times, * k4, M1, k5, M1, k4, k2(3-3-3-4), k2 tog, k3, k2 tog, k2(2-3-4-4), rep from * once more, k4, M1, k5, M1, k4, [k3(3-2-2-2), k2 tog] 3 times, k2(1-3-2-1) 80(82-84-86-88) sts. Change to larger straight needles.

Row 2: K to first marker, * work Row 2(12-6-4-14) of Cable Pat B to next marker, rep from * once more, work Row 2(12-6-4-14) of Cable Pat B to last marker, k to end. Work 2 more rows in pat as established, end on WS.
Shape Neck: Inc 1 st at beg of the next row, then at beg of every RS row 4 times more, end on WS.
Next Row (RS): Cast on 3 sts, k2, place marker, p to next marker, work in pat as established to end 88(90-92-94-96) sts. Work 1 row even, end on Row 14(8-2-16-10) of Cable Pat B. Sl all sts to holder.
BACK
With RS facing, sl 93(95-97-99-101) sts, along with markers, from back holder to larger straight needle. Beg with Row 3(1-7-9-15) of Cable Pat A, work even until back neck edge measures 3-1/4, end on Row 5(3-9-11-1) of Cable Pat A. Work 3 rows even (k the k sts and p the p sts as they face you). From this point you should work all cable sections in Cable Pat B and remaining sts in Reverse St st. Beg with Row 13(7-1-15-9) of Cable Pat B, work in pat as established until back neck edge measures 7, end on Row 14(8-2-16-10) of Cable Pat B.
Next Row (RS): Using circular needle, work across 93(95-97-99-101)sts of back, cast on 6 sts, then work 88(90-92-94-96) sts from front holder 187(191-195-199-203) sts . Work all sts in pat as established until back measures 18(20-22-24-27) from cast-on row, end on Row 10(12-8-16-12) of Cable Pat B. Bind off 53 sts at beg of the next 2 rows, decreasing 4 sts across each cable 81(85-89-93-97) sts.
RIGHT SLEEVE
Work even in pat as established on 81(85-89-93-97) sts for 1/2, end on WS. Dec 1 st each side of next row, then every 6th row 3(0-0-0-0) times, every 4th row 18(20-18-14-10) times, then every other row 0(3-7-13-19) times 37 sts. Work even until sleeve measures 18(17-17-16-1/2-15-1/2), end on RS.
Inc Row (WS): P2(1-0-0-0), (k3, M1) 3 times, k0(1-2-2-2), p7, p2 tog, p6, k0(1-2-2-2), (M1, k3) 3 times, p2(1-0-0-0) 42 sts. Change to smaller straight needles and work in k1, p1 ribbing for 1. Bind off all sts in ribbing.
FINISHING
Steam piece lightly. Sew side and sleeve seams.
Neck Edging: With RS facing, using crochet hook, beg at right front edge. Work in sc around entire neck edge. DO NOT turn. Working from left to right, work in Reverse sc around entire neck edge. Fasten off. Sew on buttons.
