FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Bust – 38(42-46-52)".
Length – 21-1/2(22-22-1/2-23)".

MATERIALS
BERROCO GLACE COLORS (50 grs), 6(7-7-8) hanks #2847 Safari (A).
BERROCO METALLIC FX (25 grs), 6(7-7-8) hanks #1001 Gold (B).
Straight knitting needles, size 11 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Crochet hook, size 5.00 mm (H).

GAUGE
15 sts = 4"; 20 rows = 4" in St st with A and B worked tog.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

STITCH GLOSSARY
K2SP
K2 tog, then sl st back to LH needle, lift 2nd st on LH needle back over returned st and replace returned st on RH needle (2 sts dec’d).
KSP
K1, then sl st back to LH needle, lift 2nd st on LH needle back over returned st and replace returned st on RH needle (1 st dec’d).

NOTE
A and B are worked tog throughout.

BACK
With size 11 needles, using 1 strand each of A and B held tog, cast on 72(79-87-98) sts. Work even in St st for 2-1/2", end on WS.
Shape Waist: Dec Row (RS): K2, SSK, k to last 4 sts, k2 tog, k2. Rep this dec every 1-1/4" twice more, then every 1-1/2" once, end on WS – 64(71-79-90) sts. Piece should measure 6-1/2" from beg. Work even for 1-1/2", end on WS.
Inc Row (RS): K2, M1k, k to last 2 sts, M1k, k2. Rep this inc every 3/4 " 3 times more – 72(79-87-98) sts. Work even in St st until piece measures 12-1/2" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Armholes: Bind off 3(5-5-6) sts at beg of the next 2 rows.
For sizes Large and X-Large ONLY: Row 3 (RS): K3, K2SP, k to last 6 sts, sl 1, k2 tog, psso, k3.
Row 4: Purl. Rep these 2 rows 2(6) times more, end on WS.
For All Sizes: Next Row (RS): K3, KSP, k to last 5 sts, sl 1, k1, psso, k3. Rep this dec every RS row 7(7-4-0) times more, end on WS - 50(53-55-56) sts. Work even until armholes measure 4-1/2(5-5-1/2-6)", end on WS.
Note: Work decs on right side of neck as sl 1, k1, psso, k3. Work decs on left side of neck as k3, KSP.
Shape Neck: K18(19-20-20), join another double strand of yarn and bind off center 14(15-15-16) sts, k to end. Working both sides at once, bind off 6 sts at each neck edge once. Dec 1 st at each neck edge as in note on every RS row 4 times – 8(9-10-10) sts each side. Work even until armholes measure 8(8-1/2-9-9-1/2)", end on WS.
Shape Shoulders: Bind off 3 sts at each armhole edge twice, then bind off 2(3-4-4) sts once.

FRONT
Work same as for back until armhole shaping has been completed, end on WS – 50(53-55-56) sts. Work even, if necessary, until armholes measure 3(3-1/2-4-4-1/2)", end on WS.
Note: Work decs on left side of neck as sl 1, k1, psso, k3. Work decs on right side of neck as k3, KSP.

FINISHING
Steam pieces lightly. Sew shoulder and side seams. Using crochet hook and 1 strand each of A and B, work in sc around neck, armhole and lower edges.
