MATERIALS
BERROCO GLACE (50 grs), 16(17-18-19) hanks #2657 Oyster. Straight knitting needles, sizes 5 and 7 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
16" length circular knitting needle, size 5.
1 St Marker.
GAUGE
5 sts = 1"; 7 rows = 1" in St st with size 7 needles.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.
STITCH GLOSSARY
K2SP
K2 tog, then sl st back to LH needle, lift 2nd st on LH needle back over returned st and replace returned st on RH needle (dec 2).
BACK
With smaller straight needles, cast on 94(102-114-122) sts.
Row 1 (RS): K2, * p2, k2, rep from * across.
Row 2: P2, * k2, p2, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows for 2", end on Row 2, dec 0(0-2-0) sts on last row 94(102-112-122) sts. Change to larger needles and work even in St st until piece measures 16-1/2" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Armholes: Bind off 3(2-2-2) sts at beg of the next 2 rows. Work 2 rows even.
Row 5 (RS): K3, K2SP, k to last 6 sts, sl 1, k2 tog, psso, k3.
Rows 6 and 8: Purl.
Row 7: Knit. Rep Rows 5-8 twice more, end on WS. Work even on 76(86-96-106) sts until armholes measure 7-1/2", end on WS.
Shape Shoulders and Neck: Bind off 8(9-10-12) sts at beg of the next row, work until there are 18(20-24-26) sts on RH needle, join another hank of yarn and bind off center 24(28-28-30) sts, k to end. Working both sides at once, bind off 8(9-10-12) sts at beg of the next row, then bind off 7(8-10-11) sts at beg of the next 4 rows. AT THE SAME TIME, bind off 2 sts at each neck edge twice.
FRONT
Work same as for back until armholes measure 5-1/2", end on WS 76(86-96-106) sts.
Note: Work decs on left side of neck as sl 1, k2 tog, psso, k3. Work decs on right side of neck as k3, K2SP.
Shape Neck: K28(31-36-40), join another hank of yarn and bind off center 20(24-24-26) sts, k to end. Working both sides at once, dec 2 sts at each neck edge as in note every other RS row 3 times 22(25-30-34) sts each side. Work even until armholes measure 7-1/2", end on WS. Shape shoulders same as for back

SLEEVES
With smaller straight needles, cast on 42(42-46-46) sts. Work in ribbing same as for back for 2", end on Row 2. Change to larger needles and work in St st, inc 1 st each side every 4th row 0(1-1-17) times, every 6th row 0(17-17-5) times, then every 8th row 14(0-0-0) times 70(78-82-90) sts. Work even until sleeve measures 19-1/2(18-1/2-18-1/2-17-1/2)" from beg, end on WS.
Shape Cap: Bind off 3(2-2-2) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then dec same as for back armholes 52(62-66-74) sts. Bind off all sts.
FINISHING
Steam pieces lightly. Sew shoulder seams.
Neckband: With RS facing, using circular needle, beg at center back, pick up and k20(21-21-22) sts to left shoulder seam, 16 sts along left front neck edge, 20(22-22-24) sts across front neck edge, 16 sts along right front neck edge and 20(21-21-22) sts across remaining back neck edge 92(96-96-100) sts. Mark for beg of round and carry marker up. Work even in k2, p2 ribbing for 8-1/2". Bind off in ribbing. Sew in sleeves. Sew side and sleeve seams.
