Shape Shoulders: Bind off 11(12-14-16) sts at beg of the next 4 rows, then 11(13-13-15) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, dec 4 sts across each full cable. (See pg. 1). Bind off remaining 44 sts for neck.
FRONT
Work same as for back until armholes measure 6-1/2(7-7-1/2-8)", end on WS.
Shape Neck: Work 45(48-52-58) sts, join another ball of yarn and bind off center 20(22-22-22) sts, decreasing 4 sts across top of center cable, work to end. Working both sides at once, bind off 5 sts at each neck edge once, bind off 4 sts once, then dec 1 st each neck edge every RS row twice – 34(37-41-47) sts each side. AT THE SAME TIME, when armholes measure 8(8-1/2-9-9-1/2)", end on WS. Shape shoulders same as for back, dec 4 sts across each full cable.
SLEEVES
With smaller straight needles, cast on 46 sts.
Row 1 (RS): K2, * p2, k2, rep from * across.
Row 2: P2, * k2, p2, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows for 2", end on Row 1.
Inc Row (WS): K1, p1, [ (M1P, p1) twice, p1] twice, (M1P, p1) twice, (k2, M1K) twice, k2, p14, (k2, M1K) twice, k2, rep between [ ]’s once more, (M1P, p1) twice, p1, k1 – 62 sts. Change to larger needles.
Pat St Placement: Row 1 (RS): K2, work Row 1 of Cable Pat over next 14 sts, * p8, work Row 1 of Cable Pat over next 14 sts, rep from * once more, k2.

Inc Row (RS): K2, M1P, work in pat as established to last 2 sts, M1P, k2 – 64 sts. Working in pat as established, rep Inc Row every 4th row 0(0-5-13) times, every 6th row 0(8-8-2) times, then every 8th row 9(3-0-0) times – 82(86-90-94) sts. All incs should be worked in Reverse St st. Work even until sleeve measures 18(18-17-16-1/2)" from beg, end on WS. Bind off all sts, dec 4 sts across each cable.
FINISHING
Steam pieces lightly. Sew shoulder seams.
Neckband: With RS facing, using circular needle, beg at center back neck, pick up and k16(17-17-18) sts to left shoulder seam, 16 sts along left front neck edge, 16(18-18-20) sts across front neck edge, 16 sts along right front neck edge and 16(17-17-18) sts across remaining back neck edge – 80(84-84-88) sts. Mark for beg of round and carry marker up. Work in k2, p2 ribbing for 3". Bind off in ribbing. Sew in sleeves between markers. Sew side and sleeve seams.
