SIZES

Directions are for women’s size X Small. Changes for sizes Small, Medium and Large are in parentheses.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Bust – 32(34-36-38)”.
Length – 19(191/2-20-201/2)”.

MATERIALS
BERROCO SMART COTTON (50 grs) 4(5-5-6) balls #1326 Jordan Almond (A).
BERROCO GLACE (50 grs) 1 hank #2327 Green Tea (B).
Straight knitting needles, sizes 5 and 7 OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
Crochet hook size 3.50mm (E).
Stitch markers.

GAUGE
21 sts = 4"; 30 rows = 4" in St st with size 7 needles.
TO SAVE TIME, TAKE TIME TO CHECK GAUGE.

BACK
With smaller needles and A, cast on 77(83-87-95) sts.
Row 1 (RS): K1TBL, * p1, k1TBL, rep from * across.
Row 2: P1, * k1, p1, rep from * across. Rep these 2 rows for 1”, end on RS. Change to larger needles and p next row on WS, dec 9(9-9-11) sts evenly spaced across – 68(74-78-84) sts.
Establish eyelets
Eyelet Row 1 (RS): K2, yo, SKP (sl 1, k1, psso), k to last 4 sts, SKP, yo, k2.
Rows 2-4: Work in St st over all sts. Rep rows 1-4 for eyelets, until 7 rows have been worked above rib.
Next Inc Rows (WS): P2, p in front and back of next st, p to last 3 sts, p in front and back of next st, p2. Rep Inc Row every 8th row 7 times more. Work even on 84(90-94-100) sts until piece measures 11(11-111/2-111/2)” from beg, end on WS. Change to smaller needles and work in k1TBL, p1 ribbing for 1/2”. Bind off in ribbing.

FRONT
Cast on and work ribbing same as for back. Change to larger needles and p next row on WS, dec 9(9-9-11) sts evenly spaced across – 68(74-78-84) sts.
Establish eyelets
Eyelet Row 1 (RS): K2, yo, SKP, k15(17-19-21), place marker, yo, SKP, k26(28-28-30), SKP, yo, place marker, k15(17-19-21), SKP, yo, k2.
Rows 2-4: Work in St st over all sts. Rep rows 1-4 for eyelets, and work incs at side edge same as for back, keeping center sts between markers constant, and AT THE SAME TIME, when 10 eyelets have been worked above ribbing, discontinue center two eyelets only, but continue eyelets and incs at side edges, until piece measures 111/2(111/2-12-12)” from beg, end on WS.
Shape Armholes and Neck: Next row (WS): Work 42(45-47-50) sts and place on a holder, work to end. Working on left front sts only, bind off at beg of RS rows: 2 sts 8(8-8-10) times, 1 st 0(1-3-0) times, AT THE SAME TIME, bind off at beg of WS rows: 2 sts 8(9-9-10) times. Work even on remaining 10 sts in k1TBL, p1 ribbing for 13(131/2-131/2-141/2)” for strap. Bind off. Work right front sts from holder and complete to correspond to left front, reversing shaping.

FINISHING
Steam pieces (See instructions on page 1). Sew side seams. Sew bound-off edge of straps to back.
Crochet Edging: With RS facing, using crochet hook and A, work edging around armholes, straps and neck as follows: *Sc in next st or row, ch 2, sk 2 sts or rows; rep from * around. Join and fasten off. Weave B through ch-2 spaces of crochet edging and tie at center front (see photo).
